FOX LA: Directors David Salzberg & Christian Turead From The Critically-Acclaimed Film ‘The Hornet’s Nest’

The war in Afghanistan is now the longest war in American history. Nobody knows that better than the men and women who have served our country in that conflict. About 400 members of the No Slack Battalion of the U. S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division were just days away from heading home when they were sent on a dangerous mission deep inside one of the most hostile valleys in Afghanistan. But what was supposed to be a one-day strike to take out a Taliban commander turned into a nine-day firefight against an enemy that often blended into the countryside. News crews embedded with the soldiers and Marines captured the combat on video. And that video has been turned into the movie “the Hornet’s Nest,” which opens Friday, May 30th in Los Angeles. David Salzberg and Christian Tureaud directed the critically-acclaimed film. They stopped by Studio 11 to talk about the movie. You can see it at the AMC Burbank Town Center 8 theater, The AMC Block 30 in Orange and the Long Beach Stadium 26.
